Dadeville - James “Jim” Henry Smith, age 77 of Dadeville, MO, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was born July 23, 1944, in Stuart, IA, to Charley Lee and Emma Eldora (Caviness) Smith. He is a US Vietnam Navy veteran.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved, biking, caving, hiking, riding his 1800 Goldwing motorcycle and walking with his dog Sugar. He loved his family, helping them anytime he was asked, he was always “Johnny on the Spot.” He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, he will be missed by all.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Robert, Leland, Richard, and Kenneth Smith; two sisters: Lucille Wolfe, and an infant sister; and a brother in-law Martin Holder.
Jim is survived by a brother Charles Smith and wife Mary of Springfield, MO; two sisters: Beverly Holder of Halfway, MO, and Carol Robbins and husband Jim of Bolivar, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the funeral home. Services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Robbins officiating.
